What covers most of the surface of Earth?
How can you find out whether water or land covers more of the surface of Earth?
Objective: Students use a map to investigate whether water or land covers more of the surface of Earth.
Procedure:
1. Get a Land and Water Sheet from the teacher.
2. Cover all of the water parts of the map with blue cubes.
3. Count the number of blue cubes you used. Record the number in the table.
4. Cover all of the land part of the map with green cubes.
5. Count the number of green cubes you used. Record the number in the table.
