How would you tell a friend how to get to one of your favorite places?
Objective: Students will draw and label a map showing how to get to a place.
Procedure:
1. Select a starting point on the drawing space. Put a dot in that space. The dot shows where you are now. Label the dot Start.
2. Think of a place you like to go. Draw a dot to show the place. Write the name of the place next to the dot.
3. Think of at least three other places between where you are now and the place you want to go. Draw and label dots on your map to show those places.
4. Draw lines on the map to show how to get from Start to the place you like to go.
