How can you change the objects?
Scientists observe how objects can be changed. How many ways can you change something?
Objective: Students will make a plan and then change the shape and color of clay.
Procedure:
1. Get a ball of clay.
2. Flatten the clay and place 3 drops of food coloring onto the flattened clay.
3. Fold and squeeze the clay until the coloring is the same throughout the clay.
4. Make a plan to change the shape of the clay. You can make it look like animal or some other shape.
5. Show your plan to the teacher and then change the clay.
6. Report on how you changed the clay.
7. Tell what changes can be undone and what changes can not be undone.
